Hazard has been on Real Madrid's radar for a while

Chelsea are preparing a big summer of spending, but they don’t have long

The Premier League season starts in four weeks’ time, leaving clubs much less time than usual to conclude their summer transfer business.

Chelsea are one of many clubs with a lot of business left to do in a short space of time. Maurizio Sarri is set to be announced as their new manager imminently, and the club are hoping that his arrival, along with an array of new signings, will help to persuade Eden Hazard to stay put.

Hazard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for a while, and with Cristiano Ronaldo gone, you would expect them to make a move for the Belgian in the coming days.

With Sarri and Jorginho arriving from Napoli, Chelsea are reportedly looking to add to those signings with the likes of Daniele Rugani fron Juventus and World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin.

The club have offered Hazard a new £300,000 a week deal, but there is a sense that at the age of 27, he will want a new challenge.

Even if Hazard expresses a desire to leave, Chelsea will reportedly demand a fee of £200m for their talisman. Although these days, that’s affordable for the likes of Real Madrid.
