As you might have heard, Chelsea haven’t made the best of starts to their season.
The champions haven’t just been leaking goals, but they’ve also not been scoring quite as many as they were when at their free-flowing best last season.
Victory over Aston Villa provided Chelsea and their supporters with some respite from recent poor form, but also threw up an intriguing statistic about their goal scoring this season.
Despite boasting Diego Costa and the once-great Radamel Falcao in their squad, it appears they’re both being out-gunned in the Chelsea scoring charts.
Costa sits in second – a position which he shares with Willian – but a helping hand from Villa’s Alan Hutton means the number one spot isn’t even held by a Chelsea player.
3 – Own goals (3) are now Chelsea's top scorer in the Premier League this season (Costa and Willian have two each). Aid.
