Seems a bit harsh.
Conor McGregor has been hit with a $150,000 fine and ordered to do 50 hours of community service following an incident during a press conference before his victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
In what was a heated and pretty chaotic gathering before the fight in August, McGregor traded insults with Diaz and threw water bottles in his direction after he had left the stage.

At a hearing of the Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday afternoon, ‘The Notorious’ was fined 5 per cent of his purse fee for the Diaz fight (approximately $150,000) and ordered to do 50 hours of community service, which is likely to involve participation in an anti-bullying campaign.
McGregor’s not short of a few bob so the fine is unlikely to burn a huge hole in his pocket, but it’s not ideal news ahead of his bout with Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in New York City next month, the first ever UFC event to take place in the Big Apple.
