Conor McGregor is back.
McGregor was in typical form when he graced the stage in New York City on Thursday night and treated the UFC 229 press conference as a free advertisement for his new whiskey.
The Irishman launched Proper No. Twelve earlier this week and he brought a full bottle with him to Radio City Music Hall, along with a sneaky small bottle in case security took the 700ml away from him.
‘The Notorious’ was aggressive when he came face-to-face with upcoming opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov but tried to offer him a drink to toast the Russian’s 30th birthday.
Nurmagomedov, a practicing Muslim, rejected the offer and told him that he didn’t drink as McGregor gulped down his glassful.
“Why don’t you drink? I’d say you’re some buzz at parties, you mad backwards cunt,” McGregor said.
“You’re dead when I get my hands on you, did you hear me? You’re fucking dead! I’ll drink it. Me and the Irish Boston animal, Dana White, the OG of the fight game! We’ll sup these bad boys.”
The lightweight title will be on the line in the main event of UFC 229 on October 6 and while McGregor might have treated himself to a few drinks on Thursday night, he will be taking the contest very serious when he gets into the Octagon against the undefeated Dagestani in just over two weeks.
