McGregor’s defence lawyer said the MMA fighter “appreciates the response of law enforcement”
Conor McGregor has been pictured leaving jail in Miami after being arrested and charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief after allegedly smashing a man’s phone at approximately 5am on Monday morning.
Before his release on bond, McGregor’s Miami defence lawyer Samuel Rabin confirmed that McGregor “was involved in a minor altercation involving a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement. Mr McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation”.
According to a police report, the fan, believed to be a 22-year-old from Slough, was attempting to take a photograph of the MMA fighter when he “slapped the victim’s phone out of his hand, causing it to fall to the floor”.
The report also states that surveillance video captured the moment, which happened when McGregor and the fan were leaving the  Fontainebleau Hotel.
