Bless him, he tries to carry on like nothing happened
England faced India this week in the first Test in Chennai, but for Dom Bess the hairiest moment came not on the pitch, but in a post-match interview.
On Sunday, after the third day’s action, the Yorkshire all-rounder was being interviewed about England’s performance. It all seem pretty standard, until the advertising boards behind him start to wobble.
Then, with Dom Bess in mid-flow, it crashes down and bonks him on the head.
Luckily, it seems he was not particularly injured by the rogue piece of advertising. And as soon as the board has been put back into place – by a creepy disembodied arm coming in from off-screen – he dives straight back into the interview like nothing has happened.
An excellent day on the pitch for Dom Bess was followed by a hairy moment off it as he calmly regained composure after being knocked on the head by the advertising board during the post-day press conference ?#INDvENG pic.twitter.com/Hcbxpz5wQd

Joe Root’s England side look set to seal victory in the first Test on Tuesday’s final day.
India closed the fourth day on 39-1, meaning they’d need record 420 to win – or much more likey, to bat out the final day to claim a draw.
If England win the first Test and go 1-0 up in the series, it will be the first time India have lost on home soil since 2013.
