Playing like him might be beyond us, but after the release of Cristiano Ronaldo’s first fragrance, we at least have the option of smelling like him.
Hot on the heels of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s after-shave teaser, the Real Madrid man unveiled Legacy immediately after a Thursday morning training session.
“It’s difficult to do publicity stuff after training,” Ronaldo explained. “But nothing in life is easy and that is why you have to work hard for your achievements.
“Not everything in life is about football, there are other things too. This is part of the job.”
Accompanying the launch comes a swanky advert. Unsurprisingly, Cristiano uses this as an opportunity to show off his physique. Beginning with him wandering about in nothing but a towel, he changes into a fancy suit, applies a couple of squirts of the new after-shave and heads off with a lady visitor.

Explaining that releasing a fragrance had been a long term ambition of his, Ronaldo seemed pretty chuffed with his latest venture.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do since a while back, when I was a kid, for me to have a perfume with my name was something unique and when they talked to me about making it, it was something that left me very happy.”
Apparently, the scent is “luxurious and exotic” as well as being “masculine and distinctive,” and is an aroma that Ronaldo “identifies” with – whatever that means.
All that remains now is for Lionel Messi to release his after-shave so everyone can argue over which is better.
