Watch your back Cristiano Ronaldo, Conor McGregor is gunning for your number one spot.

Ronaldo dropped into McGregor’s Las Vegas-based training camp during his holiday in America following a memorable Euro 2016 campaign with his national team.

McGregor is preparing for his his highly anticipated rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202, but the Dubliner happily took a little bit of time out of his camp to hang out with Ronaldo in the gym.

Judging by Ronaldo’s Instagram post from the meeting, they both got on like a house on fire.

It was confirmed through McGregor’s Instagram account that bromance was in the air. His “brother” Ronaldo clearly made an impression on the UFC star as he described the man famed for his super-human work ethic as an animal.

He then playfully vowed to overtake Ronaldo in the Forbes 100 richest athletes list by next year. 2016’s edition saw McGregor enter the top 100 for the first time. He came in at a very respectable 85th earning a cool $22 million.

However, he still has a long way to go to knock Ronaldo off his perch, who topped the list with a staggering $88m.

McGregor then reaffirmed his intention to become the highest earning athlete in the world next year in a later post, before making a quality gag about the impressive tan that Ronaldo appears to have been working on during his time off in the States.

We hate to break it to you, Conor, but unless you’re involved in some sort of Ross Gellar-esque spray tan mishap, you have no chance of beating Ronaldo in the tan department within the next seven days.
