Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the move.
On Friday morning, a report in A Bola, a Portuguese sports newspaper, claimed Ronaldo had made the “irreversible” decision to leave Real Madrid.
The report came as a shock. Just a few weeks ago, the 32-year-old scored twice in the Champions League final, and looked set to remain at the club for the remainder of his career.
However, Ronaldo has been accused by Spanish prosecutors of “defrauding the authorities of millions of euros in tax”, and this hasn’t gone down well with the player.

According to the BBC’s sports editor Dan Roan, a source told him that Ronaldo is “very sad and really upset” at the accusation.
“He feels he’s honest, has good character and did everything OK, so he doesn’t understand,” the source reportedly said.
Ronaldo signed a new five year contract with Madrid last November, and it won’t be easy for any club to sign him this summer, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation.
China has been mentioned as a possible destination, with MLS in the United States another possible option.
However, according to Roan, Ronaldo is more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain or make a return to the Premier League, if he follows through on his reported plan to leave Madrid.

Ronaldo is currently with the Portuguese national team in Russia, as they prepare for the Confederations Cup. Speculation about his future is likely to continue over the summer.
