We think it’s fair to say Conor McGregor won’t be out of action for very long.

In less than three years in the UFC, The Notorious has fought an impressive eight times, but it is his most recent fight which has finally put a blemish on his record in the octagon.

McGregor’s second-round defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 may have derailed the hype train, but with the Irishman all but confirmed to fight again at UFC 200 in the summer, attention has turned who his opponent will be.

Despite his reputation as someone who takes on all comers, reports emerged over the weekend that McGregor had turned down a potential re-match with Diaz this summer.

But the UFC chief Dana White quickly stepped in to put an end to such rumours.
