He only recently got a recall to the England squad
Rugby player Danny Cipriani has been arrested and charged by police following an incident at a nightclub.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The fly-half recently joined Gloucester and returned to the England squad in the summer after a four year absence.
Gloucester have issued a statement which read: “Gloucester Rugby are aware of an incident involving Danny Cipriani in the early hours of Wednesday morning follow an incident at a St Helier nightclub.
“He was arrested and has since been charged by police.
“He will appear at Jersey Magistrates Court at 10 a.m. tomorrow [Thursday] morning.
“The club will be issuing no further comment at this time but will make a further announcement in due course.”
