David Haye thinks Frank Bruno should be allowed to continue his fighting career – as long as he faces boxers of a similiar age.
Bruno, a former world heavyweight champion, claimed earlier in the week that his plans to relaunch his boxing career had been thwarted when he was denied a licence by British boxing officials.
Now Haye has supported him, but believes that Bruno shouldn’t be allowed to meet boxers in their twenties or thirties.
“As long as he fights somebody his own age, I’ve got no problem with that,” Haye told the Today programme on Radio 4.
Despite being 54 years of age, Bruno recently revealed that he remains in fantastic shape.
