Now we know how Dillon Danis left the T-Mobile arena following Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fight at UFC 229
I likely don’t need to remind you that chaos descended on UFC 229 overnight as Nurmagomedov launched himself over the cage following his victory over Conor McGregor. He headed straight for Conor’s Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis, with the pair then involved in a bust-up.
After initially getting knocked back, McGregor’s training partner hit back at Nurmagomedov. The New Jersey native connected with a couple of blows on the UFC lightweight champion forced back before he was pulled from the scene.

However, despite fighting back against the undefeated Russian, it was reported that Danis came off the worst out of the altercation.
Speaking on ESPN following the incident, Chael Sonnen said: “I saw Dillon Danis being escorted out and he was wobbling, Khabib got to him.”

But it seems that those reports may have been over-egged as footage has now emerged of Dillon being led out of the arena by police in which he looks is pretty good shape.

Joe Rogan claimed in the aftermath of the bust up that the attack was provoked by Danis insulting ‘The Eagle’ from the crowd. “We couldn’t hear what he said but Dillon absolutely was insulting Khabib and saying something to him and provoking him,” the commentator said.
While McGregor’s head coach, John Kavanagh, wrote on Twitter: “Another historical night. Amazing atmosphere, technical fight with excitement all the way thru. All that makes MMA a great sport. Shame about the ending. On to the next one.”
