What next for Conor McGregor?
The new featherweight champion of the UFC has the world at his feet after his stunning 13-second knockout of former pound-for-pound king Jose Aldo.
The Irishman’s most likely challenge at 145lbs would come from Frankie Edgar after the American’s knockout of Chad Mendes on Friday night, while McGregor has already talked about moving up to lightweight in a bid to become a double world champion.
But Aldo seems determined to step back into the octagon against the Irishman, claiming immediately after the decision was announced that it ‘wasn’t a fight’ and that he wanted to ‘get back in there’.
Aldo: "We lost the battle but we didn't lose the war."

aldo: i think we need the rematch. that really wasn't a fight, so we need to get back in there.

The two also exchanged words in the aftermath – we wonder what was said?
What do we reckon was said here? Could McGregor have offered Aldo a rematch? #UFC194 pic.twitter.com/35Q2YyGQTO
