Who needs Anthony Joshua anyway?
Tyson Fury has a long road ahead of him as he goes through the gears on his journey back to the boxing ring but he would not be averse to returning in a different ring entirely.
Fury has an awful lot of weight to shift and has to make his case before a UK Anti-Doping hearing before he can be in with a chance of having his boxing licence reinstated, with the ultimate goal being a multi-million pound all-British showdown with Joshua at some point in 2018.
Fury has not fought in two years but he’s eager to avoid letting his athletic prime slip away from him.
And given his almost matchless ability to talk, who’s to say that the heavyweight wouldn’t be a success in the world of professional wrestling?
Fury was recently asked during an interview on the Dave Allen podcast whether or not he would be open to a move to WWE and he revealed that he wouldn’t be against the idea.
“I have not been asked but I would consider it,” Fury answered.
“But aren’t I too fat to be on the WWE?
“WWE if you’re listening to The White Rhino Podcast, call me.”
There is a precedent for boxers to make the move to professional wrestling, with Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton all taking part in WWE storylines at one point or another.
Sign him up, Mr. McMahon…
