For some reason, Conor McGregor chose to round on Dustin Poirier.
The Notorious took to Twitter to share some pictures of his wins in the UFC over the past two years. However, of the three posts that went out, two featured his September 2014 stoppage of ‘The Diamond’.
Looking regal in his JOE.ie-emblazoned shorts, McGregor captioned the posts ‘The Executioner’ and ‘That’s light work’. The third was a snap of him delivering a hammer fist to the stunned Jose Aldo at UFC 194.
On the Aldo KO, he declared: ‘This line of work is not for everyone. But it’s steak every night. The Executioner.’

Poirier was never going to take that lying down, especially after he recently disposed of the last man to defeat McGregor – Joe Duffy.
The 26-year-old followed up McGregor’s post with this picture of ‘The Notorious’ in deep trouble against Duffy before he tapped out, in 2010.
‘This line of work is not for everyone. Tap Tap Taparoo.’

Having beaten Duffy by unanimous decision at UFC 195, Poirier must have been waiting for the right moment to rib McGregor about his last MMA loss.
