Less than 18 months after finishing third at the World Cup, all is not right in the Dutch international camp.
The Oranje are on the verge of not even making the play-offs to qualify for Euro 2016, having sacked Guus Hiddink partway through the qualifying campaign and seen Danny Blind struggle to get the best out of the squad.
They will miss out on the tournament unless Turkey lose at home to Iceland, and now there has been talk of a bust-up between two of the stars of the Dutch World Cup campaign.
There are rumours of a (minor) bust up between Memphis and Van Persie in the Dutch camp. Blind has said they 'have talked about it'.

Van Persie, of course, opted to leave Manchester United over the summer after Memphis’ arrival, though this is not thought to be the source of the dispute.
According to Blind it is only a minor issue – in fact he calls it a ‘discussion’ rather than an argument.
Danny Blind on Memphis vs. RvP: 'It was a normal discussion about whether or not a certain pass should have been made. That's all.'

We suppose it pales in comparison to the wider malaise affecting the Dutch football team.
To go from third in the world to fourth behind Iceland, the Czech Republic and Turkey is quite the fall from grace.
