He hasn’t played a competitive minute since May, but Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to step onto a Premier League pitch once more.
The former Tottenham striker was told to find a new club back in September, but remained on the club’s payroll and was remarkably still their highest-paid player despite being unattached.
Adebayor’s last appearance came in the defeat to Manchester City at the end of last season, but the next chapter of his career will begin with Crystal Palace.
The Togolese striker has joined the London club on a short-term deal until the end of the season, and will look to prove himself once more after a tame end to his time with Spurs.

Adebayor, who will wear the number 25 shirt, scored just twice in his final season at White Hart Lane.
He joins a Palace side currently sitting 11th in the Premier League table, 10 points above the relegation zone and 11 below the top four.
