It was a hell of a game at Twickenham…
England beat France 55-35 at Twickenham but fell six points short of lifting the Six Nations trophy, with Ireland claiming the Championship after demolishing Scotland 40-10 at Murrayfield.
Stuart Lancaster’s side knew that they had to beat the French by 26 points if they were to wrestle the title back from Joe Schmidt’s men, but despite beat asserting their dominance over Les Bleus they couldn’t get the extra converted try that would have sealed a morale-boosting win ahead of next autumn’s World Cup.
Great day out at Twickers. Shame about the result #bbc6nations #ENGvFRA pic.twitter.com/EKJUN58v7d

The whole thing proved to be a bit of an anti-climax, but we’re glad we found this particular clip to cheer us up.
Gallows humour at its best.
