England get decent World Cup group stage draw

Russia have the handiest group possible

The draw for the 2018 World Cup has been made.

The 32 teams to have made it to the tournament in Russia next summer learned their fate on Friday afternoon in Moscow. The draw took over an hour to complete, but we eventually got there.

Here were the different pots ahead of the draw, England were in Pot Two.

England were then drawn alongside Belgium, Tunisia, and Panama in Group G.

The hosts Russia have been drawn with Uruguay, Egypt and Saudi Arabia in Group A. The opening game of the tournament will be Russia against Saudi Arabia in Moscow on June 14. While the holders Germany are in a group with Mexico, Sweden, and South Korea. in Group F.

England’s first game will be against Tunisia in Volgograd on June 18, they will then play Panama in Nizhny on June 24, and their final group game will be against Belgium in Kaliningrad on June 28.
