Tom Fell has resumed his cricket career in some style after a cancer battle kept him out of action for several months.
The 22-year-old saw a promising start curtailed last year when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and he spent time on the sidelines for surgery.
He was then forced to undergo chemotherapy when the cancer spread to his lymph nodes, but he got the all clear to return to first-class cricket at the end of May.
Fell hit a half-century on his first game back and has now gone one better, hitting a century for Worcestershire against Lancashire in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

It was Fell’s first ever limited-overs ton, though he has several first-class hundreds to his name.

He finished the afternoon with 116 from 123 balls with 15 boundaries, helping his county win the match with 14 balls to spare, and was at the crease when they completed a hard-fought victory.
Worcestershire’s next One-Day Cup outing comes tomorrow against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
