Three European MPs are calling for the Gareth Bale’s transfer from Tottenham to Real Madrid to be investigated.
As reported by The Sun, according to the MPs, the Spanish giants used money from a bank that was rescued using a Bale-out public money – which they are claiming constitutes using indirect state aid.
Bale’s move to the Bernabeu was the big move of 2013, with Spurs receiving a world-record £86m fee for the winger.
Details are still emerging of the MPs claim, but there is no suggestion that Bale has acted inappropriately.
