When it comes to pre season, you can forgive players for lacking a bit of sharpness and missing the odd chance as they strive to recapture form and fitness.
But in the case of Aiden McGeady, Everton fans have seemingly run out of patience.
Ronald Koeman took his new side to MK Dons on Tuesday night as they step up their preparations for the new season. McGeady – an Everton player since 2014 – was back in action for the club having spent the back end of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Toffees ran out 3-1 winners in the end, but McGeady’s failure to convert what seemed like a straightforward enough chance prompted plenty of mocking comments about the Irish international.

Admittedly, we’ve seen worse down the years, but that didn’t seem to matter as far as Evertonians were concerned…

Oh…
Everton are expected to be highly active in the transfer market in the weeks before their new Premier League campaign kicks off. They host Tottenham on the opening day of the season. We may be wrong, but something tells us that McGeady might not feature that day.
Chin up, Aiden.
