He’s off home.
It’s not that long since US national keeper Tim Howard was the subject of global memes due to his World Cup heroics in Brazil. He was even congratulated by President Obama for his superhuman efforts between the posts. But things change quickly in football.
Fast forward to 2016 and Everton fans are constantly bemoaning his regular clangers. The 37-year-old seems a shadow of his former formidable self and Toffees have been pleading for him to be dropped from the team all season.
Well on Sunday all the Christmases seemed to come at once, as Everton’s official Twitter account announced that Howard would be joining MLS side Colorado Rapids at the end of the season….
