Manchester United may have made a rod for their backs with some recent inflated transfer fees.

After the summer splurge on the likes of Anthony Martial and Morgan Schneiderlin, United are reportedly being quoted huge fees for some of their other targets.

According to The Sun, Everton have told their Premier League rivals that Romelu Lukaku will cost them a huge £65m.

Lukaku is the Premier League’s leading scorer with 15 goals, level with Leicester’s Jamie Vardy, and has also reportedly attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

The Belgian cost £28m when he joined the Toffees from Chelsea, and Everton are clearly keen to keep hold of one of their most valuable players if they possibly can.
