Twitter is such a great thing because it perfectly records a snapshot of everything said in the past.
But there are some things you probably wish are left back there, lost in the sands of time.
One fan has been reminded of a tweet he posted in 2012 when Leicester signed some bloke called Jamie Vardy for £1m from some non-league club.
It probably seemed like a bit of a gamble back then – an unknown quantity bought in from a Conference club at a record-breaking fee.
So obviously as soon as Vardy bagged the goal that cemented his place above Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy in the all-time table for consecutive Premier League goals scored, some rascal was rummaging around Twitter to dredge it up.
And it’s a corker…
Leicester have signed non-league striker Jamie Vardy for £1m. What has football come too. Jesus Christ!!
