Who needs him?
Super Sunday really lived up to its name today, as Arsenal lost to Bournemouth in the early fixture before Liverpool brought Man City’s unbeaten run to an end, beating them 4-3 at Anfield.
Liverpool became the first team to beat City this season in domestic competition, crushing their hopes of becoming the second team ever to complete an invincible season in the Premier League.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring with a powerful drive from outside the box, before Leroy Sané equalised as he beat Loris Karius at his near post.
But Liverpool were not deterred, as each of the three-pronged attack scored, each goal brilliant in its own right. Roberto Firmino’s chip, Sadio Mané’s screamer and Mo Salah’s audacious lob from distance gave Liverpool a comfortable lead.
That lead almost City slipped away as City scored two consolation goals but were unable to bring it back to 4-4.
This obviously had everyone talking. If Liverpool are this good without Philippe Coutinho, will they even miss him? Oxlade-Chamberlain scored from central midfield today, remember.
Who needs Coutinho?

Who the fuck needs Coutinho? We are dominating City who are unbeaten in the league this season. I love this club man. Roberto Firmino is a god.

Half of Liverpool will be singing this song later by the sounds of things.
Or could this be the start of a new chant?

Nah, probably not.
This afternoon’s result gave the Premier League a much needed shake up. Liverpool have shown that City are beatable if you press them. Is there a title race? Probably not, but we can dream.
