Riyad Mahrez is still a Leicester City player. It seems some people have forgotten that.
The reigning PFA Player of the Year has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, to the point where some have dismissed the prospect of him staying beyond deadline day, but he has linked up with the club for pre-season and even scored a typically stunning goal in the draw against Celtic.
His absence from this promotional photo had some fans worried, but they had little reason to suspect Mahrez of wanting away aside from paper talk.
First of all, there was no one to step up to the plate as a ready-made replacement. Until now.

Bartosz Kapustka has joined from Cracovia in Poland after emerging as one of the best young players at Euro 2016.
The midfielder featured in four of his country’s five games in France, missing the last-16 win over Switzerland through suspension, and impressed in his two starts against Northern Ireland and Ukraine.
He has already made a name for himself at the age of just 19, and will bolster a supply-line to Jamie Vardy which also includes Demarai Gray, Ahed Musa, Marc Albrighton and (for now) Mahrez.
However, judging by most of the reaction to his announcement, many are of the opinion that it’s likely one in and one out in the East Midlands.
