Talk of Jurgen Klopp replacing Brendan Rodgers isn’t helping the current Liverpool manager, according to a former player.
Liverpool have endured a difficult start to their campaign, taking just eleven points from their opening seven games.
According to a report from ESPN Steve McMahon acknowledged the pressure that Rodgers is under, but claimed that talk of Klopp potentially arriving isn’t making it any easier.
“When you get someone breathing down his neck like Jurgen Klopp and people are clamouring for change, knowing there’s a ready-made replacement, that adds a lot of pressure,” he said.
Failure to win in the Merseyside derby at the weekend is sure add to Brendan Rodgers’ woes, with Liverpool already five points behind league leaders Manchester United.
