Fabrice Muamba has reached out to James Taylor, following the news that the 26-year-old had been forced to retire from cricket after being diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
Muamba was also forced to call time on his sporting career after collapsing on the pitch while playing for Bolton Wanderers in a cup tie at Tottenham four years ago.
According to the BBC, Taylor’s problem is similar to the one that caused Muamba’s collapse.
Encouraging Taylor to look at the bigger picture, Muamba reminds the Nottinghamshire and England star that although early retirement is disappointing, he should enjoy his life.
@jamestaylor20 having life is a great option.Retirement is inevitable but for some of us it's just earlier than expected.Enjoy life 👊🏾
