Faustino Asprilla has had a great season.
Sure, his playing career finished years ago, but the Colombian’s twitter account has been just as entertaining over the last few months as he was back in his playing days.
From posting sarcastic tweets about the effort levels of Newcastle’s current crop of players to sharing random video clips of himself riding a horse while dressed as a T-Rex (really), Tino has proved himself to be a worthy follow.
Days after his former club were relegated to the Championship, Asprilla has taken to Twitter once again, joining many Newcastle supporters in calling for the club’s owner Mike Ashley to sell the club.
‘If we are relying on Mike Ashley to do the right thing, good luck’ the 46-year-old tweets.
‘The only thing he has to do is sell and GO!’
And just to hammer home his point, Asprilla has chosen a picture of Ashley wearing nothing but his underwear to accompany his call for change.

Kevin Keegan, Asprilla’s former manager at Newcastle, also called for Ashley to leave the club before their relegation to the English second tier was confirmed.
“You have to say Mike Ashley hasn’t handled the decision-making very well or he’s given the responsibility to people and they haven’t handled it very well,” Keegan told the BBC last week.
“They are going to have to go down and regroup. That’s not going to be easy.
“You make mistakes in football and you get punished, especially the Premier League now. I think they’ll bounce back.”
Still, it’s not all bad news for Newcastle…
