Conor McGregor has certainly ramped up his divisiveness this week.
The Notorious released an incredible online outburst about the wearing of poppies around Remembrance Sunday and claimed that the act of sporting the flower is to show respect to soldiers who have passed away in all wars.
The Irishman has apparently been criticised back home for his decision, given the history of conflict between Ireland and England, but came out fighting on Facebook.
We don’t know what prompted the tirade, but it ended in typically fierce McGregor fashion with the line:Â “You have a pint in your hand and a Celtic jersey on in your local. F**k you and the Queen.”
McGregor has been photographed in the past wearing the poppy at a UFC event so it’s been suggested that the above outburst was an attempt from McGregor to hit back at any criticism he’s received for doing so.
@TheNotoriousMMA only thing your selling out is the Irish people wearing a poppy! pic.twitter.com/n2EtGVHDAx
