A hard one to take for Lindholm
Finnish cross-country skier Remi Lindholm revealed that he suffered a ‘frozen penis’ during the Men’s 50km Cross-Country Skiing event at the Winter Olympics.
The event, which took place on Saturday (February 19), was shortened to 30km due to strong winds and tough conditions.
Despite the shortened course, Lindholm sustained an unexpected injury to one of the more *sensitive* parts of the body.
Speaking after the event, Lindholm indicated that he had suffered an injury to his crotch area before admitting the event was one of most difficult competitions he’s taken part in.
“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished,” the Finn, who finished in 28th place, told IL.
“It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through.
He added: “When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable.”

British athlete Andrew Musgrave was frustrated that the event distance was shortened, slamming the decision to make the change.
“They have just shortened the Olympic 50km because it’s a bit cold and windy,” tweeted the Scot.
“I don’t see that that will make it any warmer or less windy. What a f**king joke!”
FIS have just shortened the Olympic 50km to a 28km because it's a bit cold and windy. I don't see that that will make it any warmer or less windy.🤷♂️ What a f@*king joke!

Musgrave, who finished 12th, reiterated that he was unhappy with the decision after the event.
He said: “I thought it was a ridiculous decision.
“If it’s warm enough to race then I don’t see why doing an hour and a quarter or 30km, compared to two hours in the 50km, makes it any better.
“It’s still the same temperature, it’s still the same wind.
“I couldn’t really do anything about that and just had to go out and make the best of it.
“I’m a little bit annoyed. 50km is meant to be the ultimate endurance race and I felt like it wasn’t quite the same.”
