Watching a football game isn’t cheap these days.
Whether it’s parting with your hard-earned cash for a ticket to be at the ground or paying out for a Sky Sports / BT subscription, it certainly doesn’t come cheap.
But there are some ways around it. Just ask the bloke that scaled a tree next to Stoke City’s Bet 365 Stadium for the visit of Manchester City on Saturday lunch time.
Making the most of the gap between the stadium’s stands, cameras capture the the spectator in his unusual vantage point during the early stages of the first half.

His view was almost certainly obscured, but you can’t help but salute his efforts to take in a bit of Premier League action for free.

Having gone to all that trouble, let’s hope the person wasn’t a Stoke fan. If he was, he’ll have seen the his side fall behind to City after Mike Dean awarded them a penalty. Sergio Aguero tucked it away and was later on hand to head home a second a few minutes later.
