Young defender Juanma has confirmed that he’s committed his future to Liverpool.
The former Barcelona player spent time this summer on trial with Michael Beale‘s Reds U23 side and impressed so much that he’s been offered a deal.
Juan Manuel Garcia, to use his full name, is not expected to jump straight into Jurgen Klopp’s plans as he will continue his tenure on Merseyside under Beale in the Premier League 2 system.

But if Klopp’s side are hit with a similar injury curse as the one they faced last season, one would expect Juanma to be fast-tracked into the matchday squad.
The 19-year-old can play at either left back or centre-half and progressed through Barcelona’s world famous La Masia academy to make 17 appearances in the UEFA Youth League.
“My time at Barcelona has ended,” he wrote on Twitter. “Thank you for those eight seasons. Life goes on.”
Aside from this latest acquisition, Liverpool fans had the chance to see some of their new signings against Barcelona at Wembley last week. Sadio Mane, who arrived from Southampton, was particularly impressive and has drawn comparisons with Luis Suarez from Trevor Sinclair – a comparison many found absolutely hilarious.
