Sad news ahead of the weekend’s football as it has been announced that former Everton manager, Howard Kendall, has died at the age of 69.
Kendall represented Everton as a player and managed them on three separate occasions.
His first spell in charge was the most successful in the club’s history as Everton claimed two First Division titles, and FA Cup and a European Cup Winners’ Cup triumph.
Kendall also managed Manchester City, Notts County, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers in his managerial career.
Everton shared the news via their Twitter page with this short statement.
