Nacho Novo, the former Rangers player, has reportedly been taken to hospital after suffering a heart attack.
The 38-year-old had been representing a Rangers Legends team at an event in Berlin and is said to have been taken to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.
Fortunately, the Spaniard is said to be recovering well and is expected to remain in hospital for the remainder of the week.
Speaking to the Daily Record, a friend of Novo said: “It was a heart attack and although, of course, they are enormously serious we hope it was relatively minor.
“Nacho had been struggling with what he felt was a chest infection, but thankfully he was in the expert hands of doctors in excellent time.
“He is recovering well and still in intensive care and it looks as if he will remain in hospital for the next week or so.”
Novo spent six years at Ibrox between 2004 and 2010, winning three league titles, a Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cups during this time.
Former Rangers player Marco Negri has since tweeted his best wishes to Novo.
