Royston Drenthe will be hoping his new career has more of a lasting impact than his Dutch international career.
The one-cap wonder, who had spells in England with Everton, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday, has released a debut single, entitled ‘Paranoia’, under the alias ‘Roya2Faces’.
Largely performed in Dutch, the single will ‘undoubtedly’ be followed by many more, according to Drenthe’s YouTube channel.
Former Real Madrid man Drenthe is still just 29 years old, but has been without a club since leaving Baniyas of the UAE last summer.
He shared a teaser from the recording studio last month, in order to prepare fans for what was to come.

And the Feyenoord youth product, who scored four times for Everton including a cracker against Fulham in October 2011.
He made a fast start at Goodison Park with two strikes in his first seven games, and will be hoping he can achieve a similar impact with Paranoia.
And he is not the only former Merseyside legend footballer to turn his hand to music of late – Djibril Cissé, once of Liverpool, is now DJ Ibril Cissé after retiring from the game to take up a new career.
Anyway, if you’re still reading then we’re pretty sure you’re only still hear to see what Drenthe – sorry, Roya2Faces – has to offer. So we won’t keep you waiting any longer.
