France manager, Didier Deschamps is reportedly set to drop a big-name star ahead of Tuesday’s semi-final tie with Spain.

Les Bleus beat Portugal on penalties to make it through to the last four but so far viewers have been left underwhelmed by their performances.

They made it out of Group D in second place as they took five points from their three games before scraping past Belgium 1-0 in the round of 16 thanks to a Jan Vertonghen own goal.

Now, coaching staff are considering a major change as they look to bring a spark to this labouring French side ahead of their semi-final against an impressive Spanish side.

L’Equipe has reported that vice-captain Antoine Griezmann could be dropped from the starting line-up despite being a prominent fixture of Deschamps squad.

He has started four of their five Euros games so far but has yet to make an impact, failing to register a goal or an assistant.

Griezmann is the fourth highest capped player in French history with 134 caps. He is also fourth on the list when it comes to goals for France having netted 44 times.

Adrien Rabiot is set to return to the side after missing the quarter-final through suspension. Eduardo Camavinga is set to drop to the bench.

Deschamps is likely to reward Ousmane Dembele after impressing as a substitute against Portugal and start him alongside Randal Kolo Muani and Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe was substituted off just before the penalty shootout due to receiving another knock to his broken nose earlier in the game.

There were some doubts over whether he would be fit to play against Spain and though the French captain has admitted to feeling tired and has lacked form so far in the tournament, he is tipped to start in the semi-final.
