Nicely done.
Frank Lampard has joined BT Sport as a pundit. The former Chelsea midfielder will make his debut on Sunday’s coverage of the Community Shield between Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 39-year-old worked as a pundit for Sky Sports and the BBC last season, and has impressed in brief time as a pundit.
He’ll be alongside some familiar faces next season, as former his England teammates Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves and Michael Owen already work for BT.
The prospect of a renewed Gerrard and Lampard partnership led to inevitable jokes about them being unable to work together, with Gerrard himself getting in on the act.
The former Liverpool captain posted this message on his Instagram page:

The joke refers to criticism Lampard and Gerrard received during their time playing together for England.
Both were attacking midfielders for their clubs, but their central midfield partnership for England was often criticised for being unbalanced.
Gerrard wasn’t the only one to make the gag.
Don't put him alongside Gerrard. Will never work

Frank Lampard joins Steven Gerrard as a BT Sport pundit. Presumably, Paul Scholes will now have to sit in an adjacent studio.

But nothing could be as funny as Robbie Savage referring to himself as a “world class midfielder.”
Another world class midfielder @btsport to join gerrard Hargreaves (me)😂 scholes welcome frank lampard 👍🏻

Ferdinand also welcomed Lampard to the BT Sport punditry team.
Massive signing from the @btsport team… big welcome to Frank Lampard!!! Look forward to seeing my old mate on set soon 👊🏽 #Lamps pic.twitter.com/B1wlBIvAAF

And so did Gary Lineker, who presents the channel’s Champions League coverage.
Great signing. 👍 https://t.co/JR1edbQozW

Lampard and Gerrard will probably work a lot better on screen than they did on the pitch. And Lampard’s presence reduces the chance of Owen or Savage appearing on screen, so everyone wins.
