It’s fair to say Paco Roig is no fan of Gary Neville.
It would also be fair to say the former Valencia president is no fan of Peter Lim, who brought the ex-Manchester United and England full-back to the Mestalla.
Neville’s brief and unsuccessful stint in La Liga is still following him around. His over-the-top reaction to Loris Karius’s comments were a sign he is still sensitive – no matter how much he protests.
Following on from Roy Hodgson stepping down as England manager after the defeat to Iceland last summer, Neville has been focusing on his punditry and business interests.
He is not sure whether or not he will dip his toe into management again but, if he does, he will not be putting Roig down as as a reference.
Discussing his former club on La Sexta TV, Roig stuck the boot into Neville, who won just three of 16 league games during his four months at Valencia.

“The pundit who came, the Englishman, was the worst coach I have ever seen.
Not using his name and describing him only as “the pundit” will have hurt as much as being called the worst coach Roig has ever seen.
Almost.
