Germany boss Jogi Low has a dig at Ireland after 1-0 defeat…

JOE

There’s nothing worse than sour grapes after losing to a smaller rival, and Germany coach Jogi Low was clearly unhappy after watching his side crash to a 1-0 defeat against Ireland.

The World Cup-winning manager reserved most of his criticism for his own players, but he also took a cheeky dig at Ireland’s tactics…

“We knew Ireland would be defending with nine and sometimes 10 men,” said Low. “We knew they’d get men behind the ball and try long hopeful balls up-front.”

“We avoided 99 of those long balls, but the 100th was one too many.”

We’re sure Ireland will be terribly upset to hear that, Jogi…
