Player Administration day goes by another name to most British & Irish Lions – Stash Day.
Warren Gatland’s Lions squad assembled at Syon House on Monday for their first get-together ahead of the six-week tour to New Zealand.
While Gatland gave an introductory speech and the squad broke into smaller pods to meet the main coaching group, the main thrust of the day involved PR, press and corporate duties and getting hands on the Lions kit.

Each of the 41 players entered one of Syon’s grand rooms and beheld a heap of individualised training and casual gear that will keep them cosy over the coming months.
In all, there were 3o items inside each players’ ‘Welcome Pack’.
We hope the lads booked some extra baggage for their flights home.
