Soldier Field, Chicago.
Three words that will be remembered until the end of time by Ireland rugby fans, especially the ones who used to play for Ireland themselves…
Both Paul O’Connell and Brian O’Driscoll, two of the greatest rugby players ever to turn out for Ireland, were snapped upon the final whistle of Ireland’s 40-29 win over the All-Blacks. Suffice to say both men looked absolutely thrilled.
This snap of an elated BOD came to us by way of Kerryman and All-Ireland winner Barry John Walsh and is reused with his permission.
One of the only men in the world who could share Brian O’Driscoll’s knowledge of what it’s like to battle for your life against New Zealand is Paul O’Connell and the recently-retired Irish captain looked similar delighted by today’s victory.
