They had enough time to get their front pages ready…
For a brief moment last night, Spurs looked like they were going to take their title race into the final two games of the season – but even if they’d managed it, it had been clear for a while that Leicester’s colours were on the trophy.
Their victory is a remarkable achievement that has been felt the world over, and newspapers worldwide have been reacting with the appropriate amount of gusto.

Our favourite is Spanish football paper Marca’s pun, ‘OLÉicester’. Both Italian papers hail Claudio Ranieri as ‘King Claudio’. L’Equipe and Mundo Deportivo also devote their front pages to the Foxes.
The entire news and sporting world have been captured by Leicester’s underdog story both yesterday night and this morning, and rightly so.
