In fact, Louis van Gaal’s touchline theatrics on Sunday led to a whole host of different photoshopped images, which quickly racked up the retweets on Twitter and lapped up the likes on Instagram.

And it seems that it’s not just the internet’s Joe Public that appreciated such images.

Manchester United’s Ander Herrera, who scored a deflected third goal in the game against Arsenal, seems to enjoy the odd Van Gaal meme based on one of his latest Instagram likes.
