Ice-hockey player gets skate to the face. His eye was in a bad way afterwards

Not one for the squeamish, this.

Not one for the squeamish, this.

Drew Miller was playing ice-hockey for the Detroit Red Wings against the Ottawa Senators last night but his contribution was a fleeting one, for a very painful reason indeed.

Miller was withdrawn early doors after a skate collided with his face out on the ice.

Thankfully he was alright, but he was left with one big-ass scar after suffering two lacerations around his eye.

Be warned, this isn’t pretty…

Blinking will probably be sore for Miller for the next few days, but with a cool scar like that, he’ll have some tale to tell the grandkids.
