Roy Keane never was Arsenal supporters’ favourite player.
The perennial rival of one of the Gunners’ greatest ever players, Patrick Vieira, was an aggressive thorn in Arsenal fans’ sides for several years and the Irishman doesn’t seem too keen on winning them around anytime soon.
Now an ITV pundit, Keane can only hurt Arsenal with his words but he’s having a mighty crack at doing just that.
On Wednesday night, the former Manchester United captain absolutely savaged Arsenal with a put-down of monumental proportions as he suggested that Arsene Wenger’s current side are actually behind the vast majority of sides in the Premier League.
“I think most teams in the Premiership are ahead of Arsenal,” Keane said when asked for his opinion on the Emirates outfit.
Dixon (through gritted teeth): "Spurs are in better shape than Arsenal"

Ex-Arsenal full back Lee Dixon, who was sat next to Keane, could not believe what he’d heard as he responded awkwardly by pointing out that: “He kept a straight face when he said that!”
But even Dixon had to concede that Arsenal had fallen behind arch-rivals Tottenham in the battle for supremacy in North London.
“They’re a better side than Arsenal, yeah,” Dixon said of Spurs. “Their all-round team, defensively minded, the way they set up, the different systems they can play – three at the back, they can play four – I think overall they’re in better shape than Arsenal are and it pains me to say that.”
