They came to see Claudio but they’ll sing for Jamie too.

Leicester City will raise the Premier League trophy, their Premier League trophy, aloft this evening.

First up is a match against Everton at the King Power Stadium but, in reality, the party has been going ever since Monday night at Jamie Vardy’s house.

Fans have arrived well in advance of the 5:30 kick-off and there is plenty of memorabilia on sale.

One of the nicest surprises has been the hundreds of Italian football fans that have arrived in Leicester to cheer on the achievements of their compatriot, City boss Claudio Ranieri.

The fans, adorned in Italian, Sampdoria and Inter jerseys, marched up the streets singing about Ranieri and chanting [in their native tongue] ‘Jamie Vardy, score for us’.

There is going to be some craic had in Leicester today.
