Italy’s stylish new away kit unveiled with brilliant 3D street art

With the season up and running, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d seen the last of the new kit launches for another year.

It turns out that’s not the case, with the first international break since Euro 2016 the perfect opportunity for Italy to show off their latest away strip.

And because nothing quite says ‘kit launch’ quite like a bit of 3D street art, that’s exactly how the Azzuri have introduced their new changed strip to the world.

The following video, shared from the Italian national team’s official Twitter account, sees a couple of artists (Joe & Max) create painted versions of Giorgio Chiellini, Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Buffon – each wearing the new kit – on an Italian pavement. Lovely.

As impressive as that is, you can’t really see the kit in much detail.

These pictures – featuring real life Marco Verratti – are much better, however.

Made by PUMA, we’re told that the new kit boasts a similar design to the shirts worn by Italy during their last World Cup winning campaign, a decade ago.

As is often the case with new Italian kits, we like what we see…
